Orinda has some good eats. You can start with a Peets coffee or with a fabulous breakfast at the Village Inn Café. The lunch is good too…especially their old fashioned milk shakes. Orinda has great Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Italian, Mexican and American food. You can grab some tacos at Maya, a hot dog with any kind of topping from Kasper’s, or a very large slice of Pizza from Zambonis. Nation’s has delicious hamburgers and is open late. You can get a great salad from Shelby’s café or a sandwich from Gepettos. Looking for dinner and a movie? La Piazza offers a delicious Italian fare across the street from the Orinda Theater. Or try Table 24, the hip new addition to Orinda’s Theater Square. Need a “home cooked” meal? Some comfort food? Belly up to the bar at one of the oldest establishments in town, the Casa Orinda – You must try the chicken fried steak! If you like ice cream, Loards has some of the best - chocolate showers and peanut butter fudge are my favorites. If your palette is longing for more, you can find any cuisine you are looking for minutes away in neighboring cities of Berkeley, Oakland, Lafayette, Walnut Creek and San Francisco. |
